Human skin contains 12% squalene, which is its principal lipid, natural emollient, moisturizer and skin anti-oxidant. Squalene oxygenates skin cells by accelerating new cell growth, therefore also being effective in healing old and new scar tissue. Squalene is also a naturally occurring substance found in olives. It is bio-compatible with the skin and has a similar molecular structure to the squalene secreted by the skin's oil glands. As we age, the squalene on our skin declines, causing dehydration, sensitivity and aging. This product helps to replenish the squalene in our skin, naturally. Squalene locks moisture into the skin, hydrates, revitalizes and strengthens skin tissue, combats dryness and flaky skin, and protects the skin from harsh environmental elements. Squalene is non-clogging, and ideal for sensitive skin, eczema and psoriasis. Unlike products produced in Asia from shark livers, our squalene is extracted from olives, thus meeting the ethical standards of our company. | | | Features: | |

Love itNov 11, 2011
By michi13 Short and simple, squalane is the best moisturizer you can put on your skin. Your skin knows it and loves it. I'm an esthetician with dry skin and psoraisis, and my skin lives on this stuff. It's much easier and cheaper for a company to use marine squalane (that's the nice way of saying they killed sharks and extracted squalane from them). I'm more than willing to pay a bit of a premium to get pure, plant extracted squalane (at a reasonable price), but it can be hard to track down. Enter a frustrated evening search on Amazon, after my most recent supplier stopped carrying squalane. Found a few options, but these guys had a very reasonable price so I got a bottle. I'm writing this as my 2nd bottle is sitting in my virtual shopping cart waiting for me to pay up. Love this stuff and the company is very customercentric. I'm a happy camper :)

By treblecleff It's not to heavy and it's not to light, It's just right. It feels like light oil when you first apply it but it absorbs into the skin quickly. A little goes a long way. I've almost had this one bottle for a year. My skin feels very moist after applying it and it DOES NOT interfere with makeup, aggravate my eczema, or cause acne flair ups.

By Alyssa I adore this product. I use it as a serum when I need that extra boost, and I love the glow it gives my skin. Has not irritated my acne-prone skin.
