Many Months Later...Dec 18, 2011
By Araminta
"M. Marlene Smith"
I ordered this back in the summertime and only used it a few times, then moved onto something else. I remember not being too impressed with either cream but was loath to write a bad review because I own, use and recommend NZ Fusion's eye creme, Skin Clear creme and manuka oil blend. Well, I ran out of my LUSH night moisturizer, which I loved, and now it has been discontinued. I did not really want to spend top dollar on anything because it is close to Christmas and I can't spare the change. While straightening my extremely disorganized cosmetics area, I came upon the Moon Creme and thought, well I will just use it until after Christmas when I can afford something better. This time when I used it, a miraculous thing happened: I woke up with extremely smooth and luminous skin. I used it the next night: same result. So now I know that I can just continue using this product instead of the pricier ones because it is just as good as if not better than many of them! I love that my skin feels smooth rather than oily like the richer cream I was using, feels supple and...healed, as some little uneven rough spots got smoothed away. Why did I not notice this 5 months ago? Perhaps my winter skin responds differently than my summer skin. In any case, I am happy to have rediscovered this superior cream.
Back in July, I used the Sun Creme for a few weeks during the day and it seemed to me that my skin looked duller. I am anxious to use it again now that the Moon Creme has proved to be better the second time around. I definitely recommend the night (Moon) cream. The ingredients are natural and clean and it caused me absolutely no allergic reaction (and I have a good number of allergies/sensitivities).
One more note re the Moon Creme: among the many fine ingredients that comprise it is squalane, a substance that occurs naturally in young skin but can also be found in shark liver, olives and rice. NZ derives theirs from olives. I have used straight squalane on my face before but stopped using it because it came from sharks. Then I discovered another brand that uses olive squalane and used their line for years. NZ's got 'em beat. There is an ever-so-subtle aroma of manuka honey; it is a creamy, fresh scent which is very pleasant. The day creme does not smell like manuka but has a slight fruity tone which I can't identify but is equally pleasant and fresh.
NZ Fusion/Koru Naturals is a wonderful company for providing fresh, quality products that work amazingly well on my skin. I love that everything comes in dark glass containers to keep them from absorbing sunlight - no worrying about plastic leaching into the creme. I will continue ordering from this classy vendor as long as they keep providing me with the healing benefits of their manuka-based products!
***** UPDATE ***** December 31, 2011
I've used the Sun Creme a few more times and find that is is very good, though for my older skin I need a bit more moisture, so I massage 2-3 drops of argan oil on my face before applying the creme. My skin looks refreshed and feels balanced so I am happy to recommend the Sun Creme; for 20-30-year-olds it can be used alone but for those 40 and older (I am 49) I would suggest using a bit of oil with it. Argan oil would be a great choice and is what I prefer but I'll bet olive oil or any quality oil, such as rosehip or squalane, would work very well also. Koru Naturals ships FAST and all their items are packaged well and are scandalously low-priced for what you get...I am so pleased to have discovered this fantastic line of manuka-based products!
Set of Manuka Honey CreamsFeb 17, 2012
By Alyssa I like that these creams are natural and contain Manuka Honey. I've recently begun using the Manuka Honey products from NZ Fusion, and I have seen a major clearing of acne on my skin in the last couple of weeks (since starting). Granted, nothing is a miracle, but I am very pleased with the effectiveness of the line.
Only con is that the sun creme has a very, very sweet honey smell. It deters me from using it every morning. I wish it smelled more like the moon creme.
Also, the two can be a bit heavy. Hopefully I can continue to use these during the summer and it won't be too much moisture.
